Dr. Penny Fraser is the mother of two busy little girls aged 8 and 9, and a British-trained Emergency Medicine doctor. She has always had an interest in the provision of First Aid to the general public. During her medical training at St Mary’s Hospital Medical School, London, she was a volunteer for St John’s Ambulance LINKS unit, providing First Aid during various public events, including international rugby matches at Twickenham, the London Marathon and numerous West End shows.
Penny qualified as a doctor in 1999 and then further specialised as a surgeon, with a particular interest in emergency and plastic surgery.
Her first line experience includes Trauma and Orthopaedics for adults and children, Cardiovascular Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, including burns and hand injuries.
In addition to her work with HealthFirst, Dr Penny works part time in the Service des Urgences, Hôpitaux Universitaire de Genève, using her skills and knowledge to assess and treat a variety of trauma, illnesses and minor injuries from road traffic accidents, skiing and other sporting accidents, as well as the associated infections and mental stresses.
Penny who moved to Geneva in 2004, is a Swiss Resuscitation Council certified instructor in Basic Life Support and Automated External Defibrillation.

She is a Fulbright scholar and she has a Masters Degree in Education. Her company, Allegory House was created in 2009. Denise’s varied experiences include: professor of American Civilization at l’Université de Paris IX Dauphine, university admissions recruiter speaking in over 300 international schools in 30 different countries, an information management consultant for UNICEF’s Education for Development department in Geneva. Co- author of the Education Guide Switzerland, her specialty is envisioning learning paths and providing guidance for international, multicultural, and expatriated people.
